Term 1
Schools may choose to conduct their own in school Readers Cups to give children practice. This is optional.
Books to be used in Regional finals must not be used during Term 1 for school competitions.
Teams need to register before the end of Term 1.
Make sure you have copies of the books for your regional competition well in advance. It can take three weeks or more for books to come in on order.

Term 2
Registered teams will read titles for their region and compete in a regional competition to be held by the end of Term 2.
Regional coordinators and their committees may assist the winning team to raise funds where necessary to attend the state finals in Brisbane.
Did you win your Region?
– You will receive an information pack and a copy of the state final books from your regional coordinator on the day.
– Complete and return asap the form to list the students competing. We need this information to organise medallions for competing.
Term 3
Winning regional teams prepare for the State Final to be held in Brisbane in early September.
State finals are held for:
Year 5 and Year 6
Year 7 and Year 8
Year 9 and Year 10
