State Finals Information 2017

The dates and venues for the State Finals for 2076 are:

Year 7/8 - Wednesday 6th September 2017 at Brisbane Square Library, Reddacliff Place from 6:30pm. Arrive by 6:00pm.
Special Guest: Tristan Bancks
The Book Garden is contributing to the book voucher prize for the winner and will have books on sale that night.
The Children's Book Council of Australia Qld Branch provides free tickets to Thursday sessions of Wordplay for winning regional teams who need to stay overnight in Brisbane.

Year 5/6 - Wednesday 6th September 2017 at Metro Hotel Ipswich International as part of the StoryArts Festival Ipswich from 5:30pm.  (Arrive 5:15pm)
Venue:  Metro Hotel Ipswich Internarional
Special Guests: Sandy Fussell, Samantha Wheeler and Karen Foxlee (Funded by CBCA Qld Branch)
Books will be on sale via A Lot of Books.
Book prizes for winners of each round are provided by TBC
The Ipswich District Teacher-Librarian Network provides free tickets to Thursday sessions of  StoryArts Festival Ipswich for winning regional teams who need to stay overnight in Ipswich. Subject to availablity, other teams from local areas may attend Wednesday sessions. 
There will be a Book Gig of Sandy Fussell's White Crane at the Ipswich Library from 3.45 - 4.45pm. Limited seats so booking will be essential.
